Specialist car servicing for all makes & models
At NDG we recommend servicing to manufactures schedules rather than a one service fits all makes.
We believe that following the schedule that the manufacture has designed for the vehicle is the best way to maintain your vehicle and to keep it in the best state of repair possible, ensuring important items like cambelt replacement is not missed.
This may actually save you money in that some vehicles only require maintenance every two years.
New Duston Garage services and repairs all makes and models of cars and light vehicles. Our mechanics are highly trained technicians using the latest equipment and technology in servicing your vehicle.
We keep a record of your vehicle’s service history, so we can advise on future maintenance and plan services to coincide with MOT tests. By following correct schedules and using Manufacturers or OE equivalent parts we will not invalidate your warranty.
Our service includes the following checks:
Brake fluid replacement is a regular service item. Most manufacturers recommend replacement every two years due to brake fluid absorbing moisture from the atmosphere irrespective of mileage, under certain conditions like hill descents and stop start motorway traffic the fluid can get so hot the moisture boils causing a vapour lock resulting in brake failure. We can test the fluid ensuring you are safe at all times.
We believe the one price for all makes service does not work especially the complicated range of oils which manufacturers specify. You cannot fit the same oil to a Nissan Micra as BMW 5 series. They are miles apart on specification and cost. You can rest assured we ensure the correct oil is fitted to the cars we service which is of paramount importance in the future life of your engine and associated parts.
We are available for advice and happy to prepare estimates for any of your service needs.

Safety comes first
Wear, corrosion, distortion and ABS faults are causes of failure. You can expect to have to replace front discs and pads during a vehicle’s life due to wear but are more likely to have to replace rear pads and discs because of corrosion, we use our diagnostic tools to finds these faults.
Braking systems rely on friction to bring the vehicle to a halt – fluid pressure pushes brake pads against a cast iron disc or brake shoes against the inside of a cast iron drum. Parking brake – When disc brakes were first fitted to all four wheels – initially to large cars and small sports models a small drum brake was incorporated into the centre of the rear hubs for the parking brake. As ‘discs all round’ has become commonplace, parking brake design has moved on and many now work by applying pads directly to the main discs – eliminating the need for a separate drum parking brake.
Brake Fluid Hydraulic brakes rely on the principle that you can’t compress a liquid. Under heavy braking, such as a long downhill descent, the brakes get hot and heat up the brake fluid. In extreme cases, water in the brake fluid can boil and vaporise. For safety, brake fluid should be replaced every two years, regardless of mileage.

Specialist wheel alignment service
New Duston Garage offers a state-of-the-art wheel alignment service for all types of vehicles. Our Hunter Hawkeye Elite uses 3D laser digital imaging technology to display your car’s wheel alignment setup in minutes, improving the handling, steering response and the grip as well as increased tyre life.
Our wheel alignment system displays a comprehensive, diagnostic analysis of your existing wheel alignment, and produces a printed report so you can clearly see any misalignment which may need correcting.
Having a four wheel alignment check should be part of any responsible motorists servicing procedure. By having your vehicle checked annually or every 12 – 15,000 miles you can:
Reduce Fuel Consumption
Fuel consumption decreases as rolling resistance decreases. A correctly set four wheel alignment along with proper tyre pressures minimises the rolling resistance.
Reduce Tyre Wear
Misalignment is a major cause of unnecessary tyre wear, having a properly aligned vehicle can add thousands of miles to tyre life.
Improved Handling
Gain a more secure handling and grip of your car by eliminating drifts to the left/right.
Environmental Impact
Having correctly aligned wheels will prevent premature tyre wear and disposal, which will have a positive effect on the environment and will reduce your overall motoring costs too!

Full service and re-gas
Vehicle manufacturers recommend that the air conditioning system is serviced every 2 years. This is not included as part of a routine car service and so it can often be overlooked. If your car is more than 2 years old it is more than likely due a re-gas.
Is your air conditioning not as efficient as it once was?
Do you get a funny smell coming from the vents?
Is your car older than 2 years old?
If the answer is yes to any of those then it is probably time for your air conditioning service!
A fully functioning system brings you several major benefits:
